Remote Session
BT Websites remote access service is here to conduct Expert Set Up sessions.
You should only need to use this service if your BT Websites advisor requests you to do so.
- In order to allow us to see what is happening on your PC we need you to download and run a small program.
- The program is supplied by remote access specialist LogMeIn and you can be assured does not contain any viruses or spyware.
- It is self-contained and will not install anything on your PC.
- When you run the program it will connect to the internet and then wait for your contact to accept your request.
- While the program is running you will be able to chat to your contact using the window that appears, much like an instant messaging program
- The program will ask for your permission to perform any action on your PC, like allowing your contact to control your PC or copy files to or from your PC.
- You will be able to see everything that your contact does on your PC.
- Once you have finished with your remote access session, you can close the program and delete it if you downloaded it. The program does not install any files on your PC.
- Once you have closed the program it is not possible for BT staff to control or access your PC in any way.
